19-Norandrostenedione is similar to Androstenedione, but not the same, in that they are both incomplete testosterone molecules. As said by Dan Duchaine, "19-nortestosterone is a testosterone molecule without a carbon molecule at the 19th position. So nor-Androstenedione (Norabol for short) is simply an Androstenedione molecule without any carbon at the 19th position...The interesting thing about nor-Androstenedione is that the dehydrogenase enzyme in the liver won't add any carbon at the 19th position. It adds only a hydrogen at the 17th position. So, without any carbon added, the Norandrostenedione won't be converted to testosterone. It's converted to nor-testosterone instead. In basic terms: nor-Androstenedione is converted to nandrolone in the liver."
- The highly anabolic properties of nandrolone are undisputed. Nandrolone has shown to easily bind to the body's steroid receptors and remain attached even longer than testosterone. Nandrolones are far more preferable compared to testosterones. The poor conversion to undesirable estrogenic compounds of testosterones, and because the androgenic side effects like acne, increased body-hair growth and acceleration of male pattern baldness are not as prevalent. Unfortunately, Norandrostenedione may cause a false positive on a steroid test for nandrolone. This is commonly referred to as Nor-Testosterone or Nandrolone. Nandrolone is the base ingredient in Deca-Durabolin. "Deca" was one of the most popular steroids in the hay day of steroids in the 80's. The Reason Deca enjoyed such popularity was its fantastic muscle building properties and general lack of side effects. Nandrolone is an Anabolic product that does not demonstrate the Androgenic side effects of most steroids. One of the many advatages of Nandrolone is its only using relatively small doses. Once the Nandrolone molecule reaches the receptor sight it remains active for as many as 4 days. Because the Nandrolone molecule lingers on the receptor sight, a build up of active ingredients at the sight. All of these characteristics add up to a very active anabolic hormone.
